Never mind Where’s Waldo, for a few weeks now local folks have been asking Where’s Donna?
Donna Forster, who owns the long-time Bolton bookstore Forster’s Book Garden along with her husband Paul, has been dealing with a health issue. It required the much-loved local shop to close temporarily while the couple focused on Donna’s surgery and recovery.
Today, we are excited to announce that Donna and Paul are ready to re-open on Tuesday June 13th. They will ease back into regular hours, beginning with a 1:00pm to 5:00pm schedule on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
If you are not yet familiar with Forster’s, this quaint and cosy book store is one local shop you really should check out.
Stepping over the threshold of this fascinating shop, you’ll be greeted with rows of books, each with a secret little world inside, waiting to pull you in for an hour, or a day. Light spills through the front windows onto shelves that are neat and precise. Others are quite simply a beautiful jumble of books, games and toys in all colours, sizes and shapes.
Additionally, you’ll find great gift items and even movies for rent. You’ll also find great customer service. Donna and Paul will always go the extra mile for you and order in any book you might be looking for that isn’t in stock.
So when you’re out and about next week consider stopping in and saying “Welcome back!”
