Today I had someone from GreenLife Water Filtration Systems at my door with an aggressive sales technique (designed to confuse no doubt) explaining that he needed to “assess my home and verify that my home qualifies for water filtration” because “all homes in Ontario now are being fitted with these filtration systems due to calcium and other chemicals in your water”.
He disappeared fairly quickly when I let him know that I was the Regional Councillor for this ward and was very confident in the safety of the drinking water in the Region of Peel.

They come to my house about twice a year. It almost fooled my husband once, but no one realizes that not only are you paying for your water bill, but you’re paying this company that is separate from Hydro for renting their machine. It’s simply a scam!
Thanks patti
Patti- your emails are invaluable- thanks so much for them- they keep us all in the loop of things we likely would miss otherwise -Pat & John dicks
I had the same operator. He too beat a hasty retreat after I asked if this “program” was through the Region of Peel, and then concluded he was a commercial operator. No sale.
I had the same person come by yesterday. I refused to let him in and then did some online research on the company. I found it to be a scam. Thanks for posting this info.

Same experience! The gentleman was very persistent and made it sound like he was sent from some governmental body to check out our water.
