An important message for Caledon residents
On October 26, 2026, an opportunity arises that happens only once every four years in your municipality. It is an opportunity to use your voice to help shape, and direct the future of, the community you love and call home. To be able to make your voice count in this meaningful way is something that is not enjoyed everywhere in the world.
If you have concerns about Caledon’s future this is your chance to play a role in addressing those concerns. The day will come and go quickly so we urge you to mark Voting Day your calendar now. In fact, perhaps even note the Advance Voting dates if you think you may be busy on Voting Day. Know where the polling stations are, make a plan for how you will get there and (being Canadian) perhaps even offer a ride to friend who doesn’t have one.
In the meantime, confirm whether you are eligible to vote and that you are on the Voters List, what ward you live in, find out who your candidates are, and learn about them – how they voted on important issues if they are incumbents, and what they offer to bring to the table if they are not. Caledon is fortunate that there are several debates planned – you can attend one or all.
JSC sent a questionnaire to every candidate for a seat on Caledon Council. After hours of consideration, we tried to ask ten questions that we felt any resident would welcome an answer to. Beginning this week we will be publishing the responses of those who replied. Stay tuned!
