Allan Drive Middle School Will Rock You!

Bolton, June 19th, 2014—Rock’n’roll is in the air! On Thursday June 19th, Allan Drive Middle School students and faculty will be picking up guitars and getting behind drums to celebrate the spirit of rock’n’roll at a concert entitled “Allan Drive Rocks” . Held at Allan Drive Middle School (254 Allan Drive, Bolton) all proceeds of this remarkable display of musical talent will benefit the Canadian charity Free The Children. The Allan Drive community seeks to provide youth and citizens in third world countries establish a stable life for themselves.

Over 25 students and a few staff members will take the stage to showcase their talents. “The show will be over the top!” exclaims Allan Drive Rocks coordinator Mr. Den Haan. “The audience will be treated to ‘cover songs’ that vary from classic rock, alternative, pop, and punk. The students’ Rock’n’Roll spirit and talent is extraordinary!”

Students are also very excited to perform for the community, “We are very lucky to be fortunate enough to take part in this event. To perform for the community while having loads of fun is something that may not happen very often. It’s amazing that we get to do what we love while helping children in need,” says Erika Brummell; a student involved in the program. “Allan Drive Rocks is an extremely humbling experience!”

Allan Drive Rocks was initiated to support Free The Children projects. Tickets are $5.00 for Allan Drive students during the day and also $5.00 for community members at the second evening show (tickets at the door, doors open at 6:30 PM). In closing, the musicians involved all invite the school and community to participate in the event.
