Achill Choral Society Presents “Sing Your Song”

Achill Choral Society, a community choir that is made up of volunteers who are spread across 3 communities: Caledon, Dufferin and New Tecumseth, invites you to SING YOUR SONG

Join us for “Sing Your Song” as we perform a vibrant array of beautiful selections that celebrate the many joys in life: spending time with people you treasure, honouring the beauty and complexity of our natural worldand the rewards of perseverance. Works will include pieces by worldrenowned Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo, Canadian composers/arrangers Matthew Emery, Paul Halley, Cree-Dene Sherryl Sewepagaham, Jenny Crober, Larry Nickel and much more.   

We are thrilled to be led by both our artistic director Shawn Grenke and guest director Jenny Crober, and accompanied by our collaborative pianist Nancy Dettbarn and other guest musicians. 

Saskia Tomkins, one of Canada’s most versatile instrumentalists, and a frequent performer with JUNO nominees “The Sultans of String” will accompany us on violin/fiddle, viola and nyckelharpa. 

The concert will take place at Westminster United Church, 247 Broadway, Orangeville on Saturday, May 6th at 2:00 pm. Doors open at 1:30 pm.

 $30.00 (Adults); $15.00 (Youth)

Members of the Achill Choral Society are fully vaccinated and will perform masked. For the safety of all, we ask all concert attendees to also wear a mask.
