As the week winds down I can honestly say it has been one like no other.
The nervousness of election night quickly gave way to cheers and tears (the good kind) and it is an evening my family and I will never forget.
The initial flood of hundreds of emails has subsided and I’m almost caught up with responses. Everywhere we go there seems to be another happy hand to shake or another wave or hug.
Whether you helped with our door-knocking campaign, displayed a lawn sign, made a financial contribution, or made it out to cast your vote, you were a part of the team of folks who decided you were going to have something to say about the future of our community. To each of you I want to extend a heartfelt thank-you.
Term for the new Council begins on December 1st. I have given my notice for my contract with CharityVillage and my last day is November 30th. I will have a busy month wrapping things up and getting set for my new role as your Regional Councillor. I look forward to the next 4 years with excitement and enthusiasm! Stay tuned!
So glad to have been a part of it! The people of Caledon have given you a mandate!
Thanks Nancy. You and Ken were wonderful support and I feel lucky to have had you on the team!
I will miss those Saturday morning meetings. It was great having the opportunity to play a small part of the campaign. You and Len worked so hard to get your message out. Your success is well deserved.
Thank you Lorraine. Your help was truly appreciated. I’ll miss the meetings as well but something tells me there’ll be many more chances to work together.
You worked hard for this responsibility – politics is not for sissies! It was a pleasure to work with you on the campaign.
Thanks Carol! You were a great addition to the team! Looking forward to representing my community!
