A third Hi-Lands of Bolton Public Information Meeting (PIM)


There is a third Public Information Meeting scheduled regarding the Hi-Lands of Bolton proposal. The PIM will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday November 3rd in Council Chambers at Caledon Town Hall. The appliant is proposing to amend the Official Plan from Low Density Residential/Private Institutional to Special Residential.

  • Thank you for posting this notice. I read the information on the link but I am unavailable to determine the significance of the proposed changes. Is it good news or bad? ideally, it would be great if nothing was built on that land but it does sound as if much of the land will become protected green space. Is this an accurate conclusion?

  • Hi Valerie. The outline of what Spina is proposing is summarized under item “b” on the notice. Like you, I am happy about the surrounding green space. I understand there is a pending sale of the valleylands to the TRCA. It is item “a” that I find troubling. Any proposal to adjust the Bolton settlement boundary concerns me. I’d be happy to discuss further. Shall we wait until about the Information Night on November 3rd?
