JANUARY MEETING OF CALEDON EAST HISTORICAL SOCIETY FEATURES FAMILY TIES

The January 31 Meeting of the Caledon East and District Historical Society features Dr. Jay Young, Curator of the Archives of Ontario.  His presentation will focus on stories of four family groups in Ontario at the time of Confederation, and how their lives intersected with larger historical forces of the era.  The presentation will also touch on themes of early photography in Ontario, communication, social change, and the value of genealogy in studying the past.Family Ties logo

This is also the Annual General Meeting of the Society and memberships are due, the executive will be introduced, and financial statements will be available.

The meeting takes place at 7:30 p.m.

St. James Church, 6025 Old Church road, Caledon East

All are welcome!  Members and Students Free – Visitors $5
